I Survived.....

a computer crash! Yes, a little over a month ago, there I was, working on my graphics laptop when I decided it needed some tweaking. So I started to run disk clean up. Ha! First let me say that the OS was Vista and that I was not paying attention to what I was doing. Anyway, started disk clean up and walked away from the machine. Got back about an hour later and I had no icons on my desktop. None. So I tried getting to my stuff with no success then rebooted. Machine would not boot. To make a long, agonising story short, it seems that not only did disk clean up delete unwanted stuff from my computer but also deleted the OS!

We got the machine working again but this time with XP. Actually, I like XP better.

Conceptual - Shields

Sorry for not posting in a while but I do have a life outside AOP.

Anyway, here are a couple fantasy shields I did in Photoshop CS3. They're not very detailed, I know, but hopefully the images for the game will be better.

And another.......

Hello, long time no post

As Captain Kirk said - no blah blah blah! We are totally serious about this game people! I've been working fast and furiously on the graphics end of things and I believe I've come up with some pretty good stuff. I've also got three dungeon levels completed. Go me!

Until next time.........

Close Up View

Here is a close view of the stained glass window and the door that AO has posted on his blog. It took me ages to make them. No, not really....I can't back that up. Actually, it took a few minutes for each. These images were in the demo AO sent to E-Jagfest.

Still working....

Here's a sample of a floor tile I've created to use in the game. I have to admit, I'm pleased with the way it turned out. Owl has tested it on the Jag and it looks exactly as I had envisioned it would do....sort of like light shining from above and reflecting on the tiles below. To be honest, I think it looks better on the Jag than here. Since I was attempting to create marble, the tile used in the game won't necessarily be this colour or have this many veins. Psssst...I think perhaps the Owl may use a tile similar to this one in the next demo. Oooops, I hope I didn't give away some top secret info. Of course this particular image was made way bigger (for clarity) than what would be used in the game.

Next post will be several graphics of stone wall samples...maybe.
